The Forward puts that fact in a news headline, "David Wildstein, Jewish Aide, Says Gov. Chris Christie Knew About 'Bridgegate'". There just is not any reason to do that as far as I can imagine.
Wikipedia reports that Wildstein grew up in Livingston NJ and identifies with Jewish causes.
