1949 New York Times: Rabbi Zev Zahavy Warns U. N. about Moral Law

Well here we go again at the UN in NYC. We are concerned about the morality of what is going on over there.

VOA reports,
"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on his way to New York City to take part in a conference on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Mr. Ahmadinejad is due to address delegates Monday on the first day of the month-long conference at U.N. headquarters. He is expected to defend Iran's right to enrich uranium, and to propose changes to the treaty."

Our dad was concerned about the activities of the UN way back in 1949.

"United Nations should take heed lest the world organization suffer the fate of the Tower of Babel and collapse in 'utter failure' through neglect of moral law."

I would ask this question, with respect, to your father: When you admonish the UN not to neglect moral law, why do you then give the most extreme example; that is, threatening the atom bomb against humanity? I would think the first step would be to admonish the UN to speak the truth, uphold honesty and justice, and demonstrate true care for every country in the world.

An a-bomb on the roof? Was the metaphor misreported, or something from the original architect's model that never was installed?
