Today the Pope visits Congregation Zichron Ephraim. The synagogue building was built in 1890. Of late it has been called Park East Synagogue.When my father became the rabbi in 1952 it was called Zichron Ephraim.
We celebrated the bar mitzvahs of both my sons at the synagogue (1987 and 1990).

The rabbi couldn't find anyone else to sell his hametz to?
