Teaneck Rabbi: YU = Torah + Idolatry

At the main shul of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun this morning the sermon was delivered by Rabbi Aaron Feigenbaum, Assistant to the Rabbi, ordained at Yeshiva University.

Towards the beginning of his talk he told this joke.

You know that the midrash says that when Rebecca was pregnant with Jacob and Esau she would feel a baby kick in her womb when she passed by a Torah study hall.
Then she would feel a baby kick in her womb when she passed by a place of idolatry.
She went to pray to G-d for an explanation and asked, "What is going on here? Am I going to have a Yeshiva University baby?"
Nobody laughed at the joke.

The joke was not credited to it`s author...Reb Shalom Shavdron, who said that the fetus who wished to go to both a beit midrash, and beit avoda zara could only have been a "mizrochnik"
