Motley Fool: Amazon Secretive About Kindle Sales

I bought a Kindle. I read a book on a Kindle. I did not like my Kindle. I did not keep my Kindle. I scalped it on ebay right before xmas.

The version one Kindle is a quirky combination of brilliance and clunkiness. Use of the Sprint network for constant connectivity is brilliant. Everything else about it is clunky.

The Motley Fool speculates about why Amazon won't brag about the sales numbers for the Kindle. With Amazon's purchase of the company Audible this week, we can count on 2008 as a mainly testing and building year for Amazon's audio and digital book services.

Stay tuned but don't hold your breath.
